Brownstown Community Path

Celebrating 25 Years of Serving the Brownstown Community

This year marks the 25th year since Brownstown Historical Society was established. Our organization promotes education by historical study as well as collect, preserve, and exhibit historical materials showing the history of our community.

We’ve made our own history during those years from renovating the DuChene Farmhouse, now home to our historical museum, to leading a team to relocate and upgrade the “War of 1812 Battle of Brownstown Monument” now a major feature inside the Lake Erie Metropark, along with many other projects. Through the years, we’ve held events such as battle re-enactments, township birthday celebrations and historic cemetery walks. The Society supports Brownstown Community Gardens and is also a major sponsor of ‘Holiday Nights In Brownstown’.

In recognition of this milestone anniversary, we invite you to help us create a “Community Path” by purchasing a personalized, engraved brick that will be permanently set and prominently displayed outside of the Brownstown Historical Museum.

You can honor your family, business, remember a loved one or show support of an organization with the purchase of a “Brownstown Community Path” brick. Your purchase will not only become a permanent part of Brownstown’s historical museum but will help support the Society as we continue to preserve the past for the future.
